Wayzata Musicales kicks off its concert series with some cool jazz on a fall evening. Dig the sounds of three of the Twin Cities' most accomplished musicians performing in the intimate setting of Blue Water Theatre Company.

Dave Hagedorn, vibes. Retired artist-in-residence at St. Olaf College, Dave taught percussion, jazz studies, and world music. His extraordinary musicianship can be heard on the Grammy-nominated George Russell Living Time Orchestra. Jazz singer Debbie Duncan and the swinging Brian Setzer Big Band are just two of the many local and national acts featuring Dave on vibes.

Kevin Clements, bass. After graduating from the Conservatory of Music in Kansas City, Kevin toured for several years, performing with some of the nation’s top musical personalities including Billy Eckstine, Rosemary Clooney, Robert Goulet and Rita Moreno. Celebrating 50 years as a premier bassist, here’s your chance to hear Kevin in a groovy jazz trio.

Reid Kennedy, drums. While based in California, Reid performed regularly at Disneyland, recorded at Capitol Studios in Hollywood, and shared the stage with the very best West-coast jazz musicians. In addition to playing drums, Reid is an in-demand composer. His original music has appeared on Showtime, Starz, Fox, and WCCO television.
