63rd Annual Roger Miller Golf Classic
Join us for the 63rd Annual Roger Miller Golf Classic on June 6th at the Burl Oaks Golf Club
As the late Roger Miller used to say, "It's going to be just GREAT!"
We've got a wonderful tournament planned this year. Same great golf and good times with some added twists to make the event fun for all our members and their guests. And the fun won't end on the 18th hole, join us for the Post-Play Party and Patio Grill Out while we tally the scores to find out who the big winners are on…and off…the course.
Whether you're a competitive golfer, causal player, or new to golf you will enjoy a fabulous day on the beautiful course at Burl Oaks Golf Club. We also have fun contests throughout the day as well as a raffle with prizes guaranteed to tap into your inner competitive spirit.
There are a variety of ways to be involved. Get a foursome together (or sign up as a single), promote your business and/or products as a sponsor, donate to our raffle, socialize and network with fellow Wayzata Area Chamber members, volunteers, etc.
Whatever your motivation, we want to see you there. What's more, your involvement supports a great cause with proceeds benefiting the Wayzata Area Chamber of Commerce.
Location
Burl Oaks hosts premier golf on their 200-acre serene layout just west of Lake Minnetonka. Their championship course twines its way through the picturesque marshland, rolling hills, and seasoned woodlands that define their fairways. It is the perfect setting for a truly unique and challenging experience.
Schedule of Events
11:30 AM – Registration Opens, Driving Range available
11:30 AM – Lunch available
12:30 AM – Shotgun
5:30 PM – Post-Play Party Grill Out and Awards
Format
We are playing a scramble format this year. Foursomes select the best drive, then everyone hits from that spot and repeat for a team score on each hole. Prizes will be awarded to the First Place, Second Place and Third Place teams. The key to winning may be how well you take advantage of the on-course contests. So make sure to bring some extra cash.

$1,250 – Marketing Sponsorship (Foursome + Hole sponsorship) – Looking for a great way to gain exposure for your business/products but also want to compete in the tournament, then the Marketing Sponsorship has your name on it! (multiple available)
$1000 – Golf Cart Sponsor – As the official Golf Cart Sponsor, your company logo will be seen by all golfers in every foursome throughout the day. (one available)
$1000 – Post-Play Party/Patio Grill Out Sponsor – Are you the host with the most? As the Post-Play Party/Patio Grill Out Sponsor you’ll be the life of the party as golfers and guests gather to socialize as everyone awaits to find out who the day’s big winners are. (one available)
$750 – Lunch Sponsorship – The perfect way to get your business name in front of all golfers is by sponsoring lunch. (one available)
$900 – Foursome – Bring your clients, prospects, colleagues, and friends and tee it up for a little friendly competition. (multiple available)
$600 – Chipping Contest Sponsor – The Chipping Contest will become the focal point as players come off the course and gather for the Post-Play Party and Patio Grill Out. (one available)
$300 – Hole Sponsorship – Not up for golf but still want to be a part of the fun? A hole sponsorship gives you exposure and the opportunity to promote your business. (multlple available)
$225 – Individual Golfer – Interested in golfing but looking for a foursome? We've got you covered. Join us as an Individual Golfer and we'll put together a foursome for you. (multiple available)
$100 – Friends of Roger Miller – Cannot participate this year, but would still like to support the event…we appreciate your contribution. (multiple available)
$60 – Individual Post-Play Party / Patio Grill Out – If you'd like a guest to join you after golf or you just want to socialize with fellow chamber members — then this is the ticket just for you. (multiple available)

Who is Roger Miller
Roger Miller was the Chair of The Chamber’s Golf Classic for over 30 years. Roger along with his family was a lifelong Lake Minnetonka area resident and owner of Minnetonka Travel and pillar of the community. and pillar of the community. He was one of the Chamber’s proudest cheerleaders. After Roger’s passing in 2012 the tournament was renamed in his honor.
Wayzata Area Chamber
The Wayzata Area Chamber of Commerce is local nonprofit organization (501c6) whose goal is to further the interests of its 425 business members and promote the Wayzata/Lake Minnetonka area. They are a resource to local business members and are backed by a Board of Directors comprised of business professionals from our community. They also produce the major community festivals, and serve as the Wayzata Welcome Center.
