A NOTE FROM THE BOARD CHAIR
Dear Chamber Members,
James J. Hill Days 2022 was a smash! Thanks to all of our Chamber members, sponsors, and staff. We had some rain on Friday night, but there were still a ton of people out enjoying the community. The rest of the weekend was flawless. I hope you got a chance to come down and enjoy the activity on Lake Street. Whether you were a vendor or volunteering, thank you for being such a big part of why James J. Hill Days is our flagship community event and an annual statewide destination for tens of thousands every year!
October is packed as well. First, please note that the 2022 Elections & Impacts event is cancelled. The Chamber needs a bit more runway to let our members and area business leaders know more about the initiative, goals, and potential topics to ensure a strong cohort of attendees. We are working to build a series from January through June 2023, including business and community leaders, along with area legislators/elected officials. Watch for more details to come in the weeks ahead!
We are excited to celebrate our 2022 Person of the Year, Jon Reyerson! Come celebrate a great community member and Chamber stalwart at our annual Person of the Year Luncheon on Thursday, October 13. If you’ve enjoyed a Chilly Open or James J. Hill Days, you can come to the lunch and thank Jon (a pillar in both Chilly Open and James J. Hill Days committees) personally!
Finally, Saturday, October 29, the Boo Bash Dash is back! Everybody from serious runners to people who enjoy watching giant inflated dinosaurs waddle down Lake Street will enjoy all that this race offers. There’s a 10k, 5k, Lake Street Mile, Family Fun Run, Pumpkin Eating Contest, and more. All ages are welcome, and we hope to see you there in costume!
MEMBER UPDATES
Congrats to our 2022 Person of the Year, Jon Reyerson! “Jon has been an active member of the chamber for over a decade, and throughout all of that time, has exhibited remarkable skills to directly benefit the Chamber and all of its activities. Jon shows up before the events begin, and is usually the last one standing – to ensure that no detail has been overlooked.”
Join us on Thursday, October 13 as we celebrate Jon. Register to attend here >>

September Ribbon Cutting Celebrations!
Congrats to our new members on their Ribbon Cutting Celebrations! This month, we visited The Thinking Spot and were amazed by the variety of books for all ages. A great spot for kids and families to learn together! We also celebrated The Fox and Pantry at their beautiful studio which is a combination of a cafe and retail store. They also host a variety of classes and private events. We are incredibly grateful for these members and hope you gather in the space soon!
