A NOTE FROM THE BOARD CHAIR

February is set to be a big month of events for our Community. I hope to see you all at the Wayzata Chilly Open, coming up February 10-12. Special thanks to our Presenting Sponsor, Porsche Minneapolis, and all the wonderful sponsors who make this event possible.

We’ve all been cooped up so much this winter that we’ve got four sessions of Cinema and Skates, and we’re changing it up this year. We’ve got two nights of movies including Frozen (a must) and, in keeping with our Olympic theme this year: Cool Runnings!  The real change comes with our pre-movie sessions of music and skating. We’re taking the roller rink to the ice, so bring your family and friends out for a movie, or a dance, or both. Tickets are limited and available at WayzataChillyOpen.com.

Have you ever done SNOWGA? Yes, that’s yoga on the ice – and it will be happening on Saturday, February 12 at 9 am! Afterwards, enjoy the festivities around town during the Chilly Open Golf Tournament. This year, the theme is the Olympics, so I’m sure there will be plenty of red, white, and blue, and gold, silver, and bronze.

In my experience, the best way to enjoy these events is to volunteer. Click here and pick a time to come help us put on a great event!

Stay safe, stay warm (especially since I’ll be seeing you on the ice!)

– AJ Meyer, 2022 Board Chair, Sanford, Pierson, Thone & Strean, PLC
