A NOTE FROM THE BOARD CHAIR
Hello Chamber Members!
I hope you have thoroughly enjoyed your summer thus far. As I reflect this season, I am incredibly grateful for the time spent together and the ability to gather in support of the Chamber. Our shared vision of creating a positive, thriving community continues to shine in all that we do.
This past month brought us 4th of July celebrations, welcome visits and the 62nd Annual Roger Miller Golf Classic. A big thank you to all the golfers, sponsors, volunteers on another successful year!
Mark your calendars for our next New Member Breakfast on Tuesday, August 24th – 7:30AM at the Depot. All new and existing Chamber members are welcome to attend. A morning spent networking and learning more about the value of your membership with a view of beautiful Lake Minnetonka, what more can you ask for. Please register in advance.
All Aboard! James J. Hill Days 2021 is right around the corner and the Chamber is gearing up for an unforgettable weekend that you will not want to miss. Applications for Street Market and Parade participation are now open so be sure to register early to get in on the fun! New for 2021 – our very own Board of Directors will be running the Beverage Tents. Be sure to stop by and say hi! You can find the current event schedule and so much more on the festival website.
Interested in volunteering at the event? We invite you, your coworkers, family and friends to grab a shift or two during the weekend. A variety of slots to fill can be on the festival website within the Volunteer tab. It takes a village and your support is noticed and appreciated.
Wishing you all a wonderful August!

ANNUAL PERSON OF THE YEAR TO BE SELECTED IN SEPTEMBER
Each year, the Chamber celebrates an individual who is an active participant and long-time supporter of Chamber activities and who contributes to the economic, civic, commercial and educational interest of the Wayzata area.
This individual is special. They are a stand out. A model volunteer, leader, champion, supporter, connector, a dynamo and do-er. They empower others, and undoubtedly has left a positive impact on our community. Do you know someone worthy of this award? We invite you to nominate them by clicking below.

And don’t forget to mark your calendar! This year the Person of the Year celebration will be held Thursday, October 14 at 11:30 am, at Wayzata Country Club.
