Hello Chamber Members,
If any of you are mourning the bracket-breaking March Madness, you will be happy to know that April is “Stress Awareness Month.” Do you know what helps with stress? Connections with others and your community. Ready to connect and network?
Our first event for April is a Welcome Visit & Ribbon Cutting Celebration for PetSuites Plymouth on April 11 at 4pm. Stop in to see why PetSuites is the perfect place for your furry friend. They offer boarding, daycare, grooming, and training.
On April 20 from 8-10am, join fellow Chamber members to participate in a free training session from Sandler! In this “No Guts, No Glory” session, you will look at the things in life that you are “in control” of as well as the things that “need improvement.” As always, you will have time to network with fellow attendees to expand your circle of professional connections.
We had great attendance at our March Leadership Luncheon: State of the Cities. Thank you to our local mayors sharing the challenges, strategies, and updates for each city. Our next Leadership Luncheon: World’s Expo 2027 is on April 27 from 11:30-1pm. We will hear from John Stanoch, CEO of the Minnesota USA Expo 2027 Bid Committee who is leading the effort. The Bureau of International Expositions announced that Minnesota USA Expo 2027’s bid to host a Specialized Expo is advancing to the next step in the process. Join us to hear more about the efforts to bring this event to Minnesota.
FORE! The 64th Annual Roger Miller Golf Classic is at Burl Oaks Golf Club on June 5. There are a variety of ways to get involved. Marketing Sponsorships are available and a great way to support the event or hit the links with your foursome! Check out the opportunities to promote your business while having a fun day on the course.
Lastly, we are in full planning mode for the Wayzata Art Experience. There are still sponsorships available! With 20,000 plus attendees, it’s a great way to promote your business! Wayzata Art Experience, held on the shores of Lake Minnetonka, provides a 2-day celebration of art, music, food and fun for all ages. We have lots of volunteer opportunities and we can’t execute the wonderful community events that you love without our volunteers.

Vaida Wellness Center is celebrating 7 years of business. Congrats to the whole team, what an accomplishment!
The Grocer’s Table’s ‘THE Chocolate Chip Cookie’ was recently featured in the 15 best chocolate chip cookies in the Twin Cities article. “They are by far our number one seller in the bakery and seem to make people smile, which makes me happy,” Pohlad said. Make sure you grab a cookie at your next Grocer’s Table visit.
Minnesota private schools are hiring staff and adding classrooms to keep up with growth. At Redeemer Lutheran Church & Redeemer Christian Academy in Wayzata, Principal Natalie Raabe has hired a second kindergarten teacher to meet growing demand. Years ago there were so few seventh and eighth graders that they took many of their classes together. Now each grade has its own dedicated teachers. Read the full Star Tribune article here >>
