What is the Person of the Year Award?
The Person of the Year Award is an esteemed recognition given to an individual who is an active participant and supporter of Chamber activities and who contributes to the economic, civic, commercial, and educational interests of our community. This person goes above and beyond, showing a true passion for making a difference and inspiring others. Whether through their professional achievements, volunteer work, or innovative ideas, the Chamber Person of the Year embodies the spirit of our community.
Why Your Nomination Matters
Your nomination is crucial in highlighting those who may otherwise go unnoticed. Think about the people who have inspired you this year—someone who has dedicated their time and resources to support local initiatives, a leader who has driven positive change, or an unsung hero who consistently works behind the scenes to make our community better.
I sincerely have become even more aware—amazed really—at the wealth of volunteer contributions of community members reaching across all demographics, individuals and groups deserving of recognition for their service. So much is happening in Wayzata right now; moving forward with the Lake Walk, the parks, new restaurants and businesses. I am proud to consider myself a part of this vibrant community, thanks in large part to the excellent efforts of the Chamber. “
