A NOTE FROM THE BOARD CHAIR
Hello Chamber Members!
A sincere thank you for all those who exhibited, attended, sponsored and volunteered at the 2021 Wayzata Art Experience. And what a wonderful comeback it was! Your support of the Chamber and our community festivals is unparalleled and we are so grateful!
Looking ahead, we are prepping for the Roger Miller Golf Classic, happening Monday, July 26th at Medina Country Club, and invite you participate as there are a variety of ways to be involved. Get a foursome together (or sign up as a single), promote your business, donate to our raffle, socialize and network with fellow Wayzata Area Chamber members or volunteer. As the late Roger Miller used to say, “It’s going to be just GREAT!” and we cannot wait to see you there. New this year will be a choice of “play” for golfers to choose between scramble and shamble providing a great golf experience for all level of golfers and even non golfers!
And before we know it, we will bid adieu to summer at James J. Hill Days, the weekend of September 10-12th. Applications for Street Market and Parade participation will be opening this month so be sure to register early to get in on the fun! You can find the current event schedule and so much more on the festival website.
In closing, a continued and sincere thank you to our Chamber staff, fellow Directors, committee members and community for sharing in our vision of a positive, thriving community. The momentum continues and I cannot wait to see what the remainder of the year brings.
Sunnier skies ahead!

SAY HELLO TO YOUR NEW MEMBERSHIP SERVICES DIRECTOR!
Abby was born and raised in Duluth, MN along the shores of Lake Superior and is now setting down roots in another beautiful lakeside town, Wayzata. She recently moved here with her fiancé, who is a Wayzata native and is excited to immerse herself into the community by serving as the Chamber’s new Membership Services Director.
Abby comes to us most recently from the College of Saint Benedict, where she served as the Marketing Project Manager and Engagement Officer focused on building relationships with the college’s alumnae and donors. She is also a Bennie, so we now have two Bennies in the office! When she and her fiancé aren’t working, they enjoy spending time with their two dogs exploring all that Wayzata has to offer.
Abby is excited to work with all of the volunteers and businesses that make Wayzata such an incredible place to call home! She will be starting mid-July!
