It’s Summer; it’s July; it’s fun in the sun and on the water. Be sure to check out the new Lakewalk along the Wayzata shoreline and enjoy a stroll over Lake Minnetonka! Join the City of Wayzata, The Wayzata Conservancy, and many others for the great day of celebration and a ribbon-cutting ceremony of the Lakewalk on July 13.
Another important celebration is our Annual Membership Appreciation Picnic on Thursday, July 25 at the Chamber in the historic Wayzata Depot. This is a FREE event for Members as we thank you for your support of the Chamber and community! Bring your family and enjoy the beautiful lakeside view.
We hope to see you at the few upcoming July Ribbon Cuttings:
- Tonka Boat Rentals Ribbon Cutting Celebration on Thursday, July 9 at the Wayzata Depot/Public Docks from 4 – 5 PM. This great team is committed to providing guests with the best possible experience on the lake from guided-hours rentals, lake/restaurant tours, large group tours, and multi-day rentals.
- Nail Boutique Ribbon Cutting Celebration on Saturday, July 13 from 12:30 – 1:30 PM. Come meet the new owner Samuel Pham and see the beautiful renovations made to the space. We hope you will join us for this special day!
- Reflections Dental Studio Ribbon Cutting Celebration on Tuesday, July 23 from 4 – 5 PM. Help us welcome Hatel Gatecha and Dr. Anupam Gatecha! We will learn about this special dental practice that brings spa/studio-like experience to your dental care.
Lastly, make sure to catch all the great musical events around the area this summer! From great patio performances to Music by the Lake, there is something for everyone! Enjoy the month of July.

Join the City of Wayzata and The Wayzata Conservancy on July 13 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. to celebrate the grand opening of the Panoway Lakewalk and Docks. A formal ceremony will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Panoway Plaza followed by a ceremonial “first walk” on the Lakewalk.
Wayzata resident and new Chamber Member Rico Paul Vallejos received the prestigious Midwest Book Award, representing the publishing and editorial team, for Latin Art in Minnesota-Conversations and What’s Next, an Afton Press title edited by William G. Franklin. The book features intimate 1:1 conversations between Minnesota-based Latin artists and leaders in the arts, as well as dramatic photography of their art. Congrats to Rico!
The Wayzata Design District group is a newly-formed collaboration of home & design-based retail shops in downtown Wayzata. Give them a follow to stay up-to-date on what’s coming up!
In June, we cut the big blue ribbon for Modern Exterior Systems at their facility in Minnetonka. It was such a pleasure to meet Joe, Lindsay, and their staff. Congrats to this great team!
