A NOTE FROM THE BOARD CHAIR
Hello Chamber Members,
We hope you enjoyed Wayzata Art Experience! Despite the ever-changing weather, we had a great turnout. Kudos to our extraordinary Chamber staff, sponsors and volunteers for all you do in making our festival an amazing event! In July, we celebrate our nation’s independence, and we enter the dog days of summer.
And here’s the line-up for July Chamber events and deadlines, where you can build your connections and support your community!
July 6: Applications are due July 6 for the James J. Hill Days Street Market. Don’t miss this great opportunity to get your business in front of 80,000 people September 8-10. Apply today!
July 11 from 4-5pm: Join us for a Welcome Visit & Ribbon Cutting Celebration for Tonka Dash on the docks at COV! Local teenagers created a dockside delivery service for the Wayzata and Excelsior docks. They will deliver from any participating restaurant within running distance. Give them a try when you are out on Lake Minnetonka.
July 18 from 8-9:30am: Join us for the New Member Orientation, hosted by Northwestern Mutual. Are you a new member of the Chamber or want to boost your existing membership in the next year? Let’s get together, get some tips on how to engage, and meet other new members. You will receive an overview of Chamber member benefits, programs, events, and festivals! We want to help you maximize your investment!
July 20 from 4-6pm: If you like burgers, ice cream, and celebration……well then you are going to want to come to the Annual Member Appreciation Picnic. That’s right, we celebrate….YOU! We love our members, and this event is all about a great big thank you to our members. There will be burgers from MyBurger, Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, and cold beverages. RSVP this free member event.
Have a super spectacular July! Stay cool, be kind, and enjoy another phenomenal Minnesota summer!

The Countdown To James J. Hill Days Begins!
Lake Minnetonka’s largest 3 day festival is coming up September 8–10. And it’s going to be the biggest and best James J. Hill Days ever! The Beach Bash concerts will be back, along with so many of the fun filled attractions and events – we are expecting well over 80,000 in attendance. The James J. Hill Days Street Market is a great way to promote and market a business or cause. Street Market applications are due July 6. Another great option to support the event is through sponsorships. If interested in contact Brooke Beyer, Community Events Director, at bbeyer@wayzatachamber.com. Stay tuned for all the exciting announcements and updates at @jamesjhilldays!
