A Note from the Board Chair
To our valued members,
The expectation and desire for certainty is something that I know we all hope for after the past year. My hope for the future is to build trust and an even closer center for belonging. I want to personally thank you for your membership and continued support of our community. The bond we have built together as members of the Greater Wayzata Area Chamber of Commerce has and will continue to allow our businesses and community to thrive.
As this year’s Chairwoman, I am grateful to be surrounded by the many engaged leaders that have a shared vision for progress and growth. Our major goal this year is to increase the importance and value of your membership. The ties that bind us together were there to help you in your time of need and are ever present as we move ahead.
While the exact details of our summer plans may be ever changing, our hope is that you will continue to look to the Chamber to bring new and exciting details as the days get longer… and warmer!
In other news! The bi-monthly printed “Gateway” newsletter is transitioning to the digital “511” – not the 411, it’s the 5 things you need to know for the month. We hope this e-news source will be an enjoyable experience and will naturally provide you an opportunity to check out our new website and utilize more of your Chamber benefits.
In closing, I challenge each community member, business and visitor to be actively involved and to spread the word that Wayzata is open for business!
Sunnier skies ahead!

Floating Art will make it’s debut at the Art Experience, June 26 & 27
This art installation intends to create long lasting & widespread awareness regarding aquatic invasive species on Lake Minnetonka and in the surrounding community. It will create 5 unique sets of sails that highlight AIS issues – featuring artwork by local and diverse artists – to be initially unveiled at Wayzata Art Experience. Our intention is to highlight native, local, or underrepresented voices as part of the project, adding gravity to an issue that has had a major effect on Lake Minnetonka and the many that value it. We hope to connect conversations around AIS with generations of lake users, creating a broader connection to our lake for all participants and viewers. READ MORE >
