WYC Wanderlust Series: Tackling the Trans Superior

Dave Johnson has sailed on Lake Superior since 1985. He started on a 16' Hobie and was hooked forever on the majesty and beauty of the world's greatest lake. Dave foredecked on a J35 and achieved his captain's license so he could share his love of sailing as a charter boat captain with Moon Shadow Sailing. He has served as the Duluth Yacht Club Scorer, Race Chair, and Commodore. Dave now sails on a 46' racing catamaran, Taeping, has sailed several Trans Superiors, and has served on the Trans Superior Race Committee since 2017.

Dave will share what goes into running the Trans Superior race, give some history and high points of the race and will share a few stories from a couple of the crews.
