Good Works Community Theater and Blue Water Community Theater Audition Workshop for Children & Youth

Wayzata's own Good Works Community Theater (GWCT) & Blue Water Theater Company (BWTC) are joining together to present:
A 4-DAY AUDITION WORKSHOP FOR CHILDREN & YOUTH
For youth in 3rd through 12th grades
August 16-19, 2023
9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

REGISTRATION
*Pre-Registration is required by July 15 to allow for adequate staffing and supplies.
AGE REQUIREMENT
*Audition workshops are open to youth in 3rd grade -12th grade.
COST
*Fees are on a sliding scale of pay what you can.
Our suggested range is $75-$250. We have specified a $75 minimum in order to cover all WCC costs. Anything above what is used to offset our costs will be a donation split equally between the two theater companies.
*Scholarships are available.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Over the course of 4 mornings together, students will be immersed in the world of theater, and receive individualized and group guidance from BWTC and GWCT staff and instructors in numerous areas.
Areas include:
*Acting
*Singing & Vocalization
*Stage Movement
*How to prepare and present yourself
These practical lessons will carry over into a student’s everyday life as well (when not on stage).
At the conclusion of our time together, students will participate in a full mock audition and receive real time feedback.
