Emergency Alert from the Wayzata Police Department

Posted on June 19th, 2014 under News Flash.

On a conference call this morning with Hennepin County Emergency Management, we received additional information with impacts to Wayzata and surrounding communities. County Road 101 South in Wayzata (Bushaway Road) will close shortly due to water over the roadway. County Road 44 in Minnetrista will be closed until tomorrow due to a mudslide near Hardscrabble Road. Minnehaha Creek is now flowing at all time record highs. The NWS is forecasting that the Crow River will reach “major” flood stage in Delano and Rockford. Storms have subsided for now, but will redevelop around 4PM this afternoon, with an additional 1-3″ of rain possible by later tonight.
