Welcome to Kathy Peterson- Director of Membership Services!

We are thrilled to announce that Kathy Peterson is joining the team at the Greater Wayzata Chamber of Commerce. Kathy is new to Minnesota, but not new to her work at various Chambers in Wisconsin and recently at TwinWest Chamber of Commerce, all in a membership capacity. Kathy is enthusiastic and excited to meet and work with the businesses in the Wayzata area and looks forward to putting names and faces together. She and her husband Harley reside in Plymouth with their two dogs Rocky and Cooper and will be celebrating the college graduation of both their children in May 2017.

Stop by and help us welcome her anytime, but we have set aside some time on December 1st from 3:30-4:30 p.m. for a little meet and greet before the Jingle Mingle!

2017 Advertising Opportunities are Here!A benefit of your membership with the Chamber is the opportunity to advertise in our newsletter, The Gateway and our e-newsletter, the e-Gateway.

Inserts in The Gateway are a 8.5×11 flyer that is inserted in the print newsletter, sent 10 times a year. No more than eight inserts are included and the cost begins at $60 a month. The Gateway is mailed to Chamber members no later than the first week of each month.

e-Gateway advertising includes and logo or photo (linked to your business website) and 45-60 words of copy with prices beginning at $25 a week. The e-Gateway is emailed to all Chamber representatives every Tuesday morning.

New advertising option this year!  Boost your business profile on the Chamber website by purchasing an Enhanced Listing on the Chamber’s online business directory. An Enhanced Listing includes priority placement, logo, website link and business description in search results, options to upload additional photos and videos in business profile, a map link and more.

2017 Wayzata Chilly Open – Registration Opens Thursday, December 1st!

Since 1984, thousands of hearty Minnesotans head to Lake Minnetonka for this unique frozen golf event to celebrate our “chilly” winter season! Our great team of volunteers carve out three 9+ hole golf courses right out on the ice. Hundreds of golfers come from all around with their golf clubs and hockey sticks to putt with tennis balls all around Wayzata Bay! Stay tuned for details, and follow along on the Chilly Open Facebook Page.

A tree at the Wayzata Depot shines bright after a tree-lighting ceremony at the city’s Nov. 25 Light Up the Lake Celebration. The new tree, which was donated to the city, replaced a tree that was damaged during a storm last summer. Click here to read more from the Sun Sailor.
