Over the past year, the Chamber has developed a Five Year Strategic Plan for what it would like to create for the greater Wayzata area by 2020. The plan includes 5 major strategic goals that will lead us to our vision. We hope to produce the vibrant. welcoming community that people from all over Minnesota will regularly visit to enjoy our many shops, restaurants and attractions along the shores of Lake Minnetonka.

Apr 10Wayzata District Elementary School Approved
The Wayzata Public School District received the final go-ahead for a new elementary school when the Plymouth City Council approved a conditional use permit and rezonings for the project. The 83,000 square foot school is set to open for fall 2016. Click here for more information.
The Freshwater Society and Hennepin County Sheriff's Water Patrol officially declared "ice-out" on Lake Minnetonka on Sunday, April 5. The announcement was made 19 days earlier than 2014. Click here for more information.

Three Lake Minnetonka Historical Societies, including the Wayzata Historical Society, have come together to publish a book called Images of America: Lake Minnetonka, about Lake Minnetonka history.
