On Thursday, July 18th the Young Professionals hosted a luncheon open to all Chamber members at the Wayzata Country Club. The discussion group format, featuring Kosal Prum as the moderator, allowed for 30 Chamber Members to randomly form into groups and discuss topics surrounding who vital clients truly are, how to spot them, and how to grow with them. Groups will meet monthly to continue conversations and the next quarterly luncheon will be in October.

Jun 242013 Wayzata Art Experience Cancelled due to Severe Weather
The Greater Wayzata Area Chamber of Commerce with the City of Wayzata decided to cancel the Wayzta Art Experience for both Saturday and Sunday, June 22 and 23. Storm damage on the night of Friday, June 21 included 36 downed power lines and no power in the city of Wayzata. There was no timeline of when Xcel Energy would be in town to restore power. The weekend forecast called for more significant thunderstorms throughout the weekend.
