Enjoy all the lake has to offer in downtown Wayzata this summer:

City Dock Staff Assisting Boaters at the Public Docks

Lake Minnetonka boaters can pull up to the city docks by the historic Wayzata Depot or the docks located off Lake Street and Broadway and city dock staff will assist boaters by tying up boats to the docks. City dock staff hours are Thursdays and Fridays 3-9 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays 10 a.m. until 9 p.m., and holidays 10 a.m. until 9 p.m., starting May 27 until September 11. No overnight mooring is permitted at either location.

Wayzata Beach Lifeguards, Beach Parking Permits and a New Beach Concession

Wayzata Beach will have lifeguards on duty beginning June 4 through August 7 from noon to 6 p.m. daily, weather permitting. All public parks are closed for access between the hours of 10:30 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Parking permits are needed at the beach for some parking spaces. Beach parking permits are free to residents and available at City Hall. Residents must provide name, address, and license plates numbers registered at their Wayzata address. A number of non-permit parking spaces are available at the back of the lot and along streets.

Beachgoers now have a new amenity to use…a beach concession! McCormick’s Beachside is now open thru Labor Day in the beach house at Wayzata Beach (22O Grove Lane East, Wayzata, MN 55391). McCormick’s Beachside will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily, weather permitting.
